    As you hinted in your article regarding speaking to one another, communication of the specific needs of the poor as they arise would be a good first step. Church leaders providing and implementing some such means of communication would allow the Spirit to work in the hearts of those in the church who are able to love their brothers and sisters enough to share voluntarily.
